  1. Different profiles per graphic card for hybrid graphics notebooks

For Notebook computers with hybrid graphics, eg. ATI / intel graphic cards, keep seperate profiles per power scheme per graphic card.

      • Have the battery history take into account your display brightness

It would be great if the lifetime left would automatically take into account if I am on 100% brightness or 0% brightness, as this is the most significant factor of my battery life.

        • Allow users to choose which power plans will show

It would be great if BatteryBar Pro had an option (a checklist, maybe) to allow users to choose which power plans will show upon right clicking the BatteryBar Pro toolbar. Many users have custom power plans, but don't use the plans that come incorporated with Windows.

          • Support DPI Changes

Please add support for dpi change. This is particularly an issue when connecting/disconnecting an external monitor. The change in dpi requires a logout/login for betterbatterybar to recognise the change. Without this, the font size is not very comfortable to use.

            Thanks.

              • Clicking to BatteryBar with Shift or Ctrl switch off the screen

This will be very useful feature for laptop users. Now I need to keep in my Win7 taskbar icon for running lcdoff.exe, including screen off feature in BatteryBar will save space at netbook screen.

                • Add possibility to move profile.xml files via a registry key

I use a ramdisk with half of my ram (2gb so 1gb ramdisk) and i use to copy tmp data and avi files i watching in it, to stop my hard drive to spin for nothing.
It seems that batterybar make my drive to spin up when updating the profile.xml file.
so if i could put this file in my ramdisk too, it should be great :)

                  • fix for high DPI displays

Settings menu is cramped, and the battery icon does not stretch for fit long numbers on my 4k display.

                    • Show on status bar when a VM is running

Enable the BatteryBar to show on the XP toolbar when running in Windows XP Virtual machine mode.

Right now, on Win7, the Windows XP Mode VM thinks that you're on AC power, even when the host is on battery. If the BatteryBar could be "always on top", it would show even when the VM is running full screen

                      • Optimized time calculation

I noticed that BatteryBar, much like the Windows indicator, computes the "time left" based on the current discharge rate. Let me explain this with an example.

When I'm busy studying by reading PDF-files, my laptop is not using that much power. Doing something heavy for a few minutes inbetween, to kill time because you're bored, heavily impacts battery drain over a short period of time. Think of chatting online, or writing this suggestion, for example. My power usage goes up, which makes the estimated remaining time go down, almost instantly.

My suggestion: improve the calculations behind this estimation somewhat.

                        Instead…

                        • Disable Desktop Gadgets/ Windows Sidebar when on battery

I find my gadgets/ Windows Sidebar uses a lot of power. I have a 3rd party app that disables both gadgets and disables Aero theme but it would be really usefull if BatteryBar Pro could do this for me.

In the Pro version, you can turn on the option to only display the percentage instead of the “On A/C” wording.

In the free version, you can edit the Translation\fr.xml file to change that wording to anything you want. If you think there is a better default to use for that wording, I can update the installer with the updated French translation.

                            • Add the possibility to lock size and position of the floating toolbar.

The floating toobar can be accidentally moved/resized reatively easily. Adding a lock size/position wouldn’t be such complicated – I think.

                              • Allow monitoring of battery life at 0%

One of my batteries lasts for about an hour once its meter has reached 0%/0 mAh. Is there any way you could change BatteryBar so that it adds an extra sample point below 0 to measure how long before the battery dies? It could just periodically update that sample every minute or so once 0% is reached, until it dies, the A/C is connected, or the computer is switched off.

I don't really understand fully how the profiles work so this might not make sense, but I'd really like to find a program that can finally give me accurate measurements…

                                • I wish I could see both the battery percentage and the time left to fully dis/charge at the same time, like the Windows date/time.

Sometimes I like to see the percentage (especially when discharging because my computer hibernates at about 8%, so the time left wouldn't make a lot of sense and sometimes isn't accurate), and sometimes I like to see the time left (especially when watching a movie or charging the battery).

I therefore think it would be nice to not have to click on the button to switch between the two.

Can we have the choice of either toggling between the two, like it is now, or seeing both at the same time, like the Time/Date button on Windows 7?

                                      • Integrate hdparm into programa to preserver hard drive life

When working plugged windows doesn't set the APM property of the hard driver properly to 255 to avoid excesive head parking, what makes the drive get aged. I would be great to add and option in Battery Bar to enable hard drive life 'preservation' changing the APM properly.

                                        • Charge Control

I would like to set charge cutoff point. Battery lifetime is dramatically longer if the maximum charge is limited to under 90% or so. This reduces run time, but greatly extends the number of charge / discharge cycles.
