Can you provide a screenshot? I'm not sure what you mean. What version are you using?

I don't understand. Can you describe the suggestion in more detail?

Tom, BatteryBar cannot control how the battery charges, that's completely controlled by the system BIOS. The only thing BatteryBar could do is provide notifications to encourage you to take manual action.

This feature already exists. Are you using the Pro version? If not, activate your free trial. What additional options would you want to see in the right-click menu?

The bar itself turns blue (by default) when it's charging. Is that not enough indication? You are welcome to create a custom theme with a lightening bolt if you wish. There are instructions here: http://osirisdevelopment.com/wiki

You need the Pro version to use themes.

Can you provide a German abbreviation that I could use that would fit in there better? The software is supposed to widen the bar to fix the text based on the language. I'll need to double-check and see if there's a mis-calcuation happening somewhere. Still, shorter text may be preferred to keep the bar smaller anyway.

I understand that you had issue with the program. I've send you an email already apologizing for the problems you had. However, the level of anger that you are so willing to demonstrate over a free program seems to indicate deeper emotional issues in your life. The level of vitriol coming from you is, in my experience and opinion, far beyond what a normal response would be for this type of non-life threatening tribulation. I would suggest that you find a professional that you can talk to regarding your anger management issues. I wish you good luck in your endeavors.

I have no way to test against that specific model of device unless someone is willing to donate or lend one. If you're having a specific issue, please contact support@osirisdevelopment.com.

We are aware of some issues related to using a vertical taskbar. We're currently focusing our efforts on upgrading the software to work with Windows 8. We'll work on addressing this issue after the Windows 8 release has been completed.

The last item displayed on shut down will be the first item displayed on startup. That's how it currently works.

The issue should be resolved, but if not, I recommend turning off the "Hide BatteryBar when battery is fully charged" option in Preferences.

In older versions of BatteryBar, the license key wasn't displayed at all. Users requested to have the license key as a reference so they could look it up if they lost the email. So one way or another, someone's going to be disappointed.

I'm open to any ideas you might have to make both groups happy.

The Windows 7 power icon doesn't have any features for changing the screen brightness. Please make a new feature suggestion.

By "Power Options", do you mean power schemes, like Power Saver and Balanced? The Pro version already shows the list of power schemes in the right-click menu. Please activate your free trial or upgrade to the Pro version.

BatteryBar already reads this information, but practically no battery reports it; in fact I've never seen one that does.

Are you suggesting that the software cause the computer to switch to battery mode even when the A/C power is connected? Unfortunately, that's not possible. The best I could do is a popup notification suggesting that you remove the power cord.

When you install BatteryBar you can choose from two versions: Taskbar toolbar and Floating toolbar. The "Taskbar toolbar" version is the version you want. Re-run the installer and make sure that's the version you install.

The problem with this is that the All Users folder is a protected folder in Vista and Windows 7. You must have admin privileges to write to it. I may be able to get around this by creating the file during install and giving the file write permissions, but I’ll need to test that out.

Marc> You should be able to use it just fine with different users. The profile data will be stored per user so the time remaining estimates will be slightly different based on different usage patterns, but the software won't crash or fail to work, or it shouldn't. If you have an error message of some kind then you need to post that at our support forums (http://osirisdevelopment.com/forum).

The "All Users" folder in XP translates to C:\ProgramData in Vista/7, it's the same thing. I haven't thought about using a Public folder though, so I'll check that out.
